Our biggest event of the year, our Carolinas Fleet Spring Rendezvous, is 6 weeks away. It’s scheduled for 1-3 May at Hewett Harbor on Broad Creek which is about 8 miles east of Oriental, NC. It will be a beautiful time of year. We will send out the event info soon but we have had a pretty good turnout for the last two years. We would sure like to see as many members there as possible this year. We should have a bunch of boats and plenty of sailors to meet and renew old friendships as well as make new ones. There is plenty of room to anchor and the approach up Broad Creek from the Neuse will easily accommodate draft to 6’. But whether you sail or drive you will be warmly welcomed and have a great time.
We plan on at least one presentation and several meals and are exploring having some live music at the rendezvous as well. We will also elect a new Fleet Captain which is an important event. So please mark your calendar for our 1-3 May Rendezvous.
